I am going to cycle from london to paris in september. I’m trying to raise £2500 for the Foundation of Conductive Education, which teaches people who have suffered injury or illness such as MS, stroke, parkinsons, head injury etc in both children and adults basic skills to aid their daily lives. Things we mostly take for granted.
The charity is 21 years old this year and is based in Birmingham.

to sponsor me, all monies go directly to the charity, and not to me, keeping everything honest and above board.
I would really appreciate any help….i have my first target to raise £1600 before 21st June 2007.
Please help me to help people less fortunate.
PS: the cycle ride is 285miles over 4 days.
Thank you very much
I am not very good at the explaining bit, but so far what I have done is:
Lift items such as beds and wardrobes as well as small items such as coffee tables.
Stay on the shop floor and help with sales
Go out onto the street and try and get people to donate £1 in return for a BHF badge and sticker (this stickers etc. are mainly for the kids, but the adults wear it also!)
Minor things such as make coffee, put out the rubbish and photocopy papers.
I’ve written it as:
I provide help to the charity 4 (should it be written as 4 or four on a CV?) days a week. I have been on the shop floor assisting with sales and customer service as well as working in the stock room lifting items such beds and wardrobes.
How can I improve it?

Cheers everyone!
I’m a mature student, with not a lot of work experience. I’m in my first year of LLB, and I’m 28yr!
So I’ve decided to do some volunteer work. What would be good charities?
Helping kids read?
or something more related to adults?
What about debt advice services?
Yes, looking for something that will compliment my LLB.
Was thinking of Citizen’s Advice Bureau?
