I have already had a charity night that raised over £350 !
My next event is to walk over the Forth Road Bridge and then back again on June 14th!

meaning this is completely all for charity, the donations go straight to them passing no one else.
This is the safest way to donate yet no seems to trust it??
Just giving is a major charity site and I am getting a little frustrated that people think I am just conning money!

So the question(s):

1.Does anyone have any ideas to how I can make people relise that this is genuine and so am I?

2.Does anyone have any ideas to get more sponsors?

3. Does anyone have any have dealings with this hospital/charity?

I have several projects in Sri Lanka which i wish to fundraise for I would like to no if it is possible to create my own charity to which bodies can make donations?

I am going to run the Manchester Great North Run again this year, and want to raise money for a children’s charity. Preferably one that helps vulnerable children in the manchester area. However when i search online all i get is the large charity’s that want minimum donations etc. I just want to be able to raise as much as possible for a charity that hardly get any funding..

Things never get better for the poor as most of the donations go to middle men consultants scam artists and high paid bosses of the charities .

Last year I found a website for a charity that basically "purchased" mosquito nets, water, blankets, etc with the donations. So, you knew exactly what the charity could get with the money. I didn’t have the money last year, but I do this year and would like to donate in my family’s name for Christmas presents. Basically, saying each member bought a mosquito net for a needy family or something like that. Where can I find a charity that does something like this??

I am a british ex-pat living in Indonesia. I would like to form a charitable foundation through which myself and my colleagues can make donations to deserving local charities and local children. I am hoping someone can give me some useful advice on how to get this started.

Do you know or suspect they have media planning sessions with marketing think tanks to come up with campaigns to adopt a child, fund an orphenage, save the enivronment (Bono) and so many other bull scat public relations events to keep their profiles high. It is vital to their bargaining power (money,contracts) so why not? Are mostly all of these charitable angels driven by the same thing. Even male superstqrs. Woud Tom Cruise do such things? Even Bono, or is he just a fruitloop? Everybody is announcing their charitable foundations, even big sports stars. They just don’t do it in silence. Even Bill Gates and Warren Buffet seem to have a need to broadcast their donations to ever cycling feast-and-famine in Africa. They get overpopulated and begin starving again. World Hungar charaties kick in and they reverse the cycle. Been seeing those hungry children before tv - they can be found in old archieves of The National Geographic. Malthus explained all that long ago.

Don’t like Opera.

I don’t understand how all these abandoned dog charities can afford such aggressive advertising campaigns on television. Are they legitimate charities? Or is there something more sinister at work here? Or are the television stations waiving the fees? Someone explain to me!
If they have so much money, why do they need to advertise for more donations?

I have 2 questions about the british heart foundation i can’t find out from their website
1.How do they raise their money? Do they rely on the publics donations or do they have a large goverment support?
And
2.What sort of difference will my money make if i donate?

Its for a school project. I asked if we could donate the money we raise to the BHF
