I am in the process of raising money and awareness for Sick Kids Edinburgh Royal Hospital. (friends foundation)
I have already had a charity night that raised over £350 !
My next event is to walk over the Forth Road Bridge and then back again on June 14th!

I have a ‘just giving’ page
www.justgiving.com / forthroadbridgetrek - 4SickKids
(without the spaces around the dash/slash)
meaning this is completely all for charity, the donations go straight to them passing no one else.
This is the safest way to donate yet no seems to trust it??
Just giving is a major charity site and I am getting a little frustrated that people think I am just conning money!

So the question(s):

1.Does anyone have any ideas to how I can make people relise that this is genuine and so am I?

2.Does anyone have any ideas to get more sponsors?

3. Does anyone have any have dealings with this hospital/charity?

Whats the link? My second eldest daughter is in the "Miss Auckland" beauty contest & the charity they are raising money for is the "New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation" You can help them both at the same time by visiting the site - www.missauckland.co.nz & vote for my daughter Vicky - she is "miss sefton construction". You can vote once every 24 hours & if you feel so inclined you have the oportunity to make a donation to the foundation. So for all you sceptics out there you can see that beauty contests aren’t just for the vain but also are there to help people.
Sorry got carried away with myself. The question is do you think this is a good way of getting people to become aware of illnesses like breast cancer or should there not be a link between the two?

Me and my cousin wanted to start our own non-profit charity organization to help the refugees and end the genocide in Darfur. We know how to go about legally becoming a non-profit charity organization. I don’t need to know that. We plan on raising money, collecting supplies to help refugees, writing letters to the government, and informing others about what is happening. We need to know how to get the money and supplies to the people in Darfur once we have gathered them. Any other details and tips are greatly appreciated.
