Where can I get donations for our charity raffle?
We are holding a raffle to raise money for our pre-school and need prizes. Can anyone suggest companies that donate to charity?

Try business owners in your area… i.e. shops, restaurants, hairdressers, etc. I fundraise too, and the locals seem only too pleased to donate because it’s advertising for them.
Good luck… it’s a lot of work but well worth it.
Ask all your local high street shops
you can get donation from several organisations, there is so much money available for charities out there.One way is to come up with proer well organised working plan (what you want to do and how much it will cost) I work as a fund raiser and its not really hard!
When i was fund raising for our church I did a tour of the local shops and shopping centre. I took a letter of referral from the vicar on headed notepaper. Some shops will not donate directly, they tell you to write to their HQ, but smaller shops often do (it helps to let them know that their generosity will be mentioned in the programme). I colected loads of quality gifts for the raffle and was very happily surprised with people’s generosity…;
Just go to any local merchant Spas, toy stores, restaurants,babby-sitting services and ask for gift certificates.
write to some local companies asking for help and in return they will get a mention in your next news letter or go around your local shops and see if they will donate to your cause or you could always ask family friends or neighbours if they could give you a little thing and what about the parents of the pre schoolers get them involved.
In the center of London. Go to the Ministers houses.
Ask friends go to pubs & maybe send out flyers.A lot of firms have their own chariys they suport.
Go to the church on sunday morning. [ask for permission first, of course] The people are generous and they would probably donate money =) not a company, though
Go to a car boot and ask each store for a donation item. Do the same around your local shops, companies etc. Pop into you local banks and give them a flier requesting donations and get them to pop the flier in their window, same thing with fliers at the boot sales etc. Leave collection boxes anywhere you can with fliers. You can do the fliers on your home computer,get friends with computers to do fliers and put them round for you . Hope this helps.
